Revisiting loved products: Garnier Oil Free Beauty Balm & Revlon Liquid Lipstick.

Garnier Oil Free BB Cream
I bought this when it first came out and liked it, but it became of those products that I put in my make up drawer and forgot about. I dug it out a few weeks ago, but my skin was really dry and it had gone really patchy, sticking to the dry bits within an hour or two. With a product I've had a bad experience with, I will always try and use it again just to give it the benefit of the doubt.

So I did this week, and I'm impressed. I was still shiny by the time I finished work at the end of the day but that's to be expected with my skin. I discovered that on Monday, so I just made sure my Kleenex Blotting Papers were within reach around lunchtime for the rest of the week to keep everything in check!

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Top Tomato.
Now, I was a very naughty human last weekend, and I nodded off with make up on. It's not as bad as it sounds, because I wasn't wearing any face/complexion make up so it was really only eyes and lips.

This is my favourite lipstick. It looks glittery in the tube, but it comes out matte and it's a definite red, even if on the Boots website, and the picture below it looks pinky. It's applied like a gloss, with a doe-foot applicator (I just googled that, I thought it was called something french like "daufant"but my computer keeps trying to autocorrect that to daunt, and I think I may just be getting confused with dauphinoise potatoes.) and it sets like emulsion. I usually touch up the inside bit of my lip after lunch but you don't really need to.

Anyway, I nodded off with it on, and when I woke up I realised I'd had it on for over 24 hours, and was pretty astonished to discover how much of it was left on:

You can find it in boots here for £8.99. My tube is almost all gone, and I'm trying to hard to use some others inset of repurchasing but I don't know if I can make it...

  1. The liquid lipstick sounds fab! I've wanted to try one of them for a while now, will definitely be having a bit of a swatching session soon.
